Park Road from Tiponi Point to Kachina Point - Petrified Forest National Park


The 28 mile park road bisects the park from north to south. There are numerous viewpoints along the route. All the pullouts are paved. Some have only a few parallel parking places while others have a numerous straight-in and pull-through places.

Please note that Petrified Forest National Park is a day-use area only. Park hours vary depending on the season with longer hours for the longer daylight of summer.

An entry fee of $10 per private vehicle is good for seven consecutive days. Other fee payment options include the America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands passes including the Annual Pass ($80), Senior Pass ($10 for lifetime), Access Pass (free with documented disability) and Military Annual Pass (free for active duty personnel).
