West Prong Falls - Great Smoky Mountains National Park


West Prong Falls is located ½ mile from the Townsend Wye on Laurel Creek Road on the Tennessee side of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A parking area with eight pull-in spots is on the river side of the road. The previous two parking areas only provide parallel parking. I've posted about the falls three prior times:


I visited the falls again in March 2017. This time I saw a small fish fail to climb the cascade. About four seconds into the video, the fish can be seen in the lower left of the image.






Entry to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is free.
