Kings Canyon Visitor Center - Kings Canyon National Park

The Kings Canyon Visitor Center is located just off California 180 in Grant Grove in Grant Grove Village about three miles north (highway east) of the Big Stump entrance to Kings Canyon National Park. The visitor center contains the usual information desk, gift shop, exhibit space, and restrooms. In addition, the park film, Kings Canyon National Park: Gem of the Sierra, plays continuously in a small theater. One of the more unique aspects of the visitor center is that both National Park Service rangers and US Forest Service rangers are on site to assist visitors. This provides visitors with the opportunity to visit groves in the Sequoia National Monument as well as in the park. When we visited in March 2018, the snow limited access for most visitors, including us, to the Grant Grove area.
