Boston Mill Visitor Center - Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Our second visit to Cuyahoga Valley National Park was in November 2019, less than a month after the new visitor center in the Village of Boston, Ohio, opened. The new visitor center has a paved parking lot for over 100 vehicles at 6947 Riverview Road, Peninsula, Ohio 44264. This parking lot also serves passengers of the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR). RV parking is available diagonally across the intersection of Boston Mills Road and Riverview Road. The Boston Mill train shelter is located west of the railroad near the parking lot, while the visitor center is located east of the tracks. To reach the visitor center from the parking lot requires walking, or rolling, across the CVSR at a pedestrian grade crossing.

The historic two-story building housing the visitor center was once a company store for the Cleveland-Akron Bag Company. Built around 1905, the building underwent a complete two-year renovation before opening as a visitor center on October 25, 2019. The visitor center contains an information desk, museum-quality exhibits, and a bookstore and giftshop. A larger gift shop is located across the river on Boston Mills Road. Public restrooms are located in a separate building southeast of the visitor center.
