We visited the Crescent City harbor one evening after dinner during our August 2013 trip. We saw seals and sea lions resting on some floating platforms located inside the area protected by breakwaters.

The Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park is cooperatively managed by California and the National Park Service as part of the Redwoods National and State Parks. The state park website is http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=414 and the national park website is http://www.nps.gov/redw/index.htm.
