While planning our May 2021 trip to the four national parks in the Dakotas and Montana, we noticed the quickest driving route from Wind Cave National Park to the east side of Glacier National Park took us through the northeast corner of Wyoming and within 30 miles of Devils Tower National Monument, so we adjusted the plans to allow us time to make a quick stop at the monument.
Even though we arrived on a weekday in early May, there was a line at the entrance station. In addition, a major construction project limited access to the parking area while COVID-19 restrictions limited access to the visitor center. According to the monument's website, the construction project is now complete and allows much better access for visitors with disabilities.
