Continuing our May 2021 visit to the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, we left Wind Canyon heading north on East River Road for 0.3 miles before turning right onto Scenic Loop Drive. After driving 5.1 miles (15.6 road miles from the visitor center) on Scenic Loop Drive, we stopped at the Boicourt Overlook on the right. This overlook has parallel parking for one handicap-placarded vehicle, two RVs, and four passenger vehicles. A concrete sidewalk-style trail meanders southwest from the overlook for 0.2 miles to another viewpoint. An information sign provides mileages to distant buttes located far outside the park.
