Riprap Trailhead to Blackrock Gap - Appalachian Trail - Shenandoah National Park

Continuing our fourth day of "slack packing" on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail (AT) in Shenandoah National Park we hiked 2.9 miles from the Riprap trailhead to Blackrock Gap. This gave us a total for the day of 5.6 miles on the AT and 0.1 miles of the Wildcat Ridge Trail to reach the AT. We hiked the well-maintained trail in mid-April 2016.

Wildcat Ridge Trailhead to Riprap Trailhead - Appalachian Trail - Shenandoah National Park

On the fourth day of our "slack packing" adventure on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail (AT) in Shenandoah National Park we hiked from the Wildcat Ridge trailhead to Blackrock Gap. This included 5.6 miles on the AT and 0.1 miles of the Wildcat Ridge Trail to reach the AT. The first segment of the day was from the Wildcat Ridge trailhead down to the AT junction and then north 2.7 miles to the Riprap trailhead. We hiked the well-maintained trail in mid-April 2016.
