The Indian Boundary Recreation Area is a popular camping location in the Cherokee National Forest near Tellico Plains, Tennessee. To reach the recreation area, drive east on Tennessee route 165, the Cherohala Skyway, for sixteen miles from its beginning in Tellico Plains. Then turn left on Forest Road 345 and follow it for two miles. Besides a large campground, camp store, restrooms and bathhouses that are open seasonally, there is a three mile trail around the 96 acre Indian Boundary Lake. We hiked this easy trail in a clockwise direction in early February 2014.
