We drove down Generals Highway from Wuksachi Lodge to the General Sherman Tree. The overnight precipitation had ended and found ourselves in brilliant sunshine. Then we drove in and out of fog before reaching our destination. Even though the road was clear at Wuksachi Way, the traction control signs were still up so we left the cables on the drive wheels. As we descended and wound around to the north side of several slopes, we saw the need for the cables. It appears that there are no mile markers on the Generals Highway. However, I've marked the locations below by distance from the Ash Mountain Entrance Station in Three Rivers. We visited the park in March 2018.
