We continued our walk on the Rim Trail from Yavapai Point to Bright Angel Lodge, an additional distance of 1.8 miles. This portion of the trail is also paved, but has several inclines that might require assistance for those in wheelchairs. Again, trees along the rim provide quite a bit of shade, but sun screen is still needed. There is no water available between the main visitor center at Mather Point and Grand Canyon Village, so you'll need to carry your own. We visited Grand Canyon National Park in May 2015.
