Sand Crab
Dune patterns created by wind and wave
While the sky is clear, the waves are remnants of the #NotJoaquin storm
A pipe in a three foot wave
Face in the foam
Plants stabilize the dunes
Shifting dunes have nearly covered this sign
Fencing was used to rebuild this dune
A varied ecosystem has been created in the dunes
Entrance to Cape Hatteras National Seashore is free.
