After our brief visit to the east side of Glacier National Park in May 2021, we drove around the southern edge of the park on US 2. We then spent the rest of our time in the park on the west side. The Apgar Visitor Center was still closed for winter when we arrived, but it opened for the season before we left.
The visitor center contains restrooms, a bookstore, and an information desk. The restrooms are open year-round. A larger bookstore, also operated by the Glacier National Park Conservancy, is located in the historic Belton train station located on US-2 in West Glacier, Montana, and is open all year.

A Glacier National Park entry fee of $35 per vehicle, $30 per motorcycle, or $20 per person is valid for seven consecutive days. Other fee payment options include the America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands passes including the Annual Pass ($80), Senior Pass ($80 for a lifetime), Access Pass (free with a documented disability), and Military Annual Pass (free for active-duty personnel). Also available is a Glacier Annual Pass for $70.
