Lake McDonald - Going-to-the-Sun Road - Glacier National Park

Our third day at Glacier National Park dawned overcast and dreary, but the weather would clear later in the day. After entering the park at West Glacier, we continued on the Going-to-the-Sun Road by turning right at the four-way stop. Driving 1.8 miles past the four-way-stop intersection, we stopped at an unnamed pullout on the west (lake) side of the road and wandered down to the gravel shore. The wind was calm, leaving the lake surface almost mirror flat. We visited the park in May 2021.
