Skyline Vista Trail - East River Road - Theodore Roosevelt National Park

After leaving the South Unit visitor center, our first stop was at the recently refurbished Skyline Vista Trail on East River Road. It is located on the left side of the road approximately four road miles north of the visitor center. Paved parking is available for 32 passenger vehicles along with two additional handicap-accessible spots. There is no RV parking at this location. On our previous visit in 2017, the trail was paved with asphalt, but it has since been rebuilt as a concrete sidewalk. The overall distance from the trailhead to the viewpoint and back is ¼ mile. Two metal benches and an informational display have been installed at the viewpoint. We visited in May 2021. Our previous visit was documented here.
