The Ash River Visitor Center was our first stop in Voyageurs National Park on our August 2017 trip to Minnesota and the Dakotas. Open seasonally, the center includes an information desk, bookstore, exhibits, and a small theater. Restrooms with flush toilets are in an adjacent building. The visitor center and restrooms are ADA accessible from the parking area. A paved path leads from the parking area to the front porch of the visitor center, while a gravel path connects the visitor center to the restrooms. The path continues with a few timber steps a short distance to the dock and a picnic area overlooking Kabetogama Lake.
